acantha-ignis-media-wall-electric-fire
Acantha Ignis Media Wall Electric Fire

The Acantha Ignis is a large electric fire built into a media wall or false chimney breast, with a 3D LED flame effect over a log fuel bed and 1kW to 2kW of heat with a thermostat and a remote with a 7-day timer. It comes in two widths, Ignis 1500 (1554 mm) and Ignis 2000 (2054 mm), both 376 mm deep. You can choose Fully inset (glass on the front), Panoramic (glass on the front and both sides) or Corner view (glass on the front and one side).

Key features

3D LED flame effect with adjustable brightness

Deep fuel bed: log set with vermiculite, slate and crystal effect

1kW to 2kW of heat with thermostat control

Remote control with a 7-day timer

Two widths: 1554 mm (Ignis 1500) and 2054 mm (Ignis 2000), 376 mm deep

Fully inset versions are glass-fronted, Panoramic versions have glass on the front and both sides, and Corner view versions have glass on the front and one side

No chimney, flue or gas supply needed

Will it suit your space?

As a rough guide, allow 1kW of heat for every 14 cubic metres of room volume in an average room, so the 2kW setting suits a room of around 28 cubic metres (about 3.4 x 3.4 m with a 2.4 m ceiling). Older, draughty or high-ceilinged rooms need more, and a heat-loss check by a heating engineer gives the right answer.

Every option is 376 mm deep. Check the sizes table below for the width and height of each option, and plan the media wall or chimney breast to the instruction manual supplied with the fire, as additional fitting is required. A Panoramic fire suits a media wall that stands proud of the wall so the side glass is visible.

Sizes and options

Size

Installation

Heat output

Glass fronted

Ignis 1500, 1554 mm wide

Corner view

1kW to 2kW

Yes + 1 side

Ignis 1500, 1554 mm wide

Fully inset

1kW or 2kW

-

Ignis 1500, 1554 mm wide

Panoramic

1kW or 2kW

-

Ignis 2000, 2054 mm wide

Corner view

1kW to 2kW

Yes + 1 side

Ignis 2000, 2054 mm wide

Fully inset

1kW to 2kW

Yes

Ignis 2000, 2054 mm wide

Panoramic

1kW to 2kW

Yes + 2 sides

Specifications

Brand

Acantha

Fuel

Electric (mains)

Dimensions and weight

H 604 x W 1554 x D 376 mm, 63.97kg (Ignis 1500, 1554 mm wide, Corner view); H 606 x W 2054 x D 376 mm, 79.67kg (Ignis 2000, 2054 mm wide, Corner view)

Installation details

Inset; additional fitting required, see the instruction manual (Ignis 1500, 1554 mm wide, Corner view, Ignis 2000, 2054 mm wide, Corner view, Ignis 2000, 2054 mm wide, Fully inset, Ignis 2000, 2054 mm wide, Panoramic); Built into a media wall, fully inset (Ignis 1500, 1554 mm wide, Fully inset); Built into a media wall, panoramic (Ignis 1500, 1554 mm wide, Panoramic)

Flame effect

3D LED flame effect technology; fuel bed: Ultra realistic natural log set with vermiculite, slate & crystal effect; adjustable flame brightness (Ignis 1500, 1554 mm wide, Corner view, Ignis 2000, 2054 mm wide, Corner view, Ignis 2000, 2054 mm wide, Fully inset, Ignis 2000, 2054 mm wide, Panoramic); 3D LED with log fuel bed (Ignis 1500, 1554 mm wide, Fully inset, Ignis 1500, 1554 mm wide, Panoramic)

Dimensions

H 604 x W 2054 x D 376mm (Ignis 2000, 2054 mm wide, Fully inset); H 606 x W 2054 x D 376mm (Ignis 2000, 2054 mm wide, Panoramic)

Weight

81.04kg (Ignis 2000, 2054 mm wide, Fully inset); 78.3kg (Ignis 2000, 2054 mm wide, Panoramic)

Installation and safety

No chimney or flue is needed: the fire runs from the mains via a 1.5 m cable.
