A carbon monoxide alarm is required in the room for a new solid fuel appliance and, in England, for a new gas fire too. The surround needs a non-combustible hearth, and at 55kg it needs at least two people to position it.

Questions

What size is the fire opening?

The opening is 930 x 930mm. Ask your installer to confirm the fit and fixing before ordering.

Does it come with a hearth?

No. The hearth is sold separately. Carron makes polished and honed black granite hearths from 92cm to 152cm wide; your installer will confirm the size your fire needs.

See our cast iron fireplaces and Carron range, and add a Carron Royal insert to complete the fireplace.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0603/4037/1710/files/alice-cast-iron-black-fire-surround.jpg?v=1793247947
