A carbon monoxide alarm is required in the room for a new solid fuel appliance and, in England, for a new gas fire too. The surround needs a non-combustible hearth, and at 56kg it needs at least two people to position it.

Questions

What size is the fire opening?

The opening is 900 x 930mm. Ask your installer to confirm the fit and fixing before ordering.

Does it come with a hearth?

No. The hearth is sold separately.
