Will it suit your space?

The Castellon needs a room volume of at least 63 cubic metres (length x width x height), for example about 5.2 x 5.2 m with a 2.4 m ceiling, and ventilation of at least 0.5 air changes an hour. Treat it as a feature flame that adds some warmth rather than as main heating.

Allow floor space for its 1100 x 650 mm footprint on a level, hard and stable floor, not carpet.

Installation and safety

No flue or installer is needed, but the table needs assembling. Stand it on a level, hard and stable floor, never on carpet: if it is not level the flame can burn unevenly and be harder to light and put out. Use liquid bioethanol only, with a purity of 96% or higher, never gel fuel, and fill the burner no higher than its maximum level. Never refill it while it is lit or still warm, and if any fuel spills, wipe it up and let everything dry fully before lighting. To put the flame out, close the closing plate fully; never blow on it or use water. Never leave it lit and unattended, fit a carbon monoxide detector in the room, and do not put anything on or over the burner opening.
