The Shire Pressure Treated Overlap Apex Shed is a simple garden shed with pressure treated overlap cladding, an apex OSB roof with felt and an OSB floor, with a hasp and staple on the door for your own padlock. It comes in 4 sizes from 4x3 to 8x6: the 4x3 has double doors, the larger sizes a single door, and the 8x6 is also available with a fixed window.

Check the space with the overhang included, and leave room all round to build it and to treat the timber each year. It needs a firm, flat and level base such as concrete, paving slabs or a timber frame base; grass, soil or loose gravel will move under the weight.

Assembly and care
It arrives as a kit with instructions. On the 6x4, 7x5 and 8x6 you can also choose the With Assembly option and it is put up for you on a base you have prepared; the 4x3 is supplied without assembly only.

Questions
What size base do I need?
Make the base at least as big as the building itself and firm, flat and level. The external size of each option is in the sizes table.
Does it need treating?
It is pressure treated. To keep Shire's 10 year anti-rot guarantee, treat it with a quality spirit-based preservative on or shortly after assembly and at least every 12 months.
Can it be assembled for me?
Yes, on the 6x4, 7x5 and 8x6. Choose the With Assembly option and the building is put up on site. The base must be ready, firm and level before the installation day. The 4x3 is supplied as a kit only.
Does it come with a floor?
Yes: OSB.
How big is the door?
The single door opening is 740mm wide and about 1,580mm high; the 4x3's double door opening is 1,110mm wide and 1,540mm high. The sizes table gives the figure for each option.
