The Adam Sutton is a flat-to-wall electric fireplace suite with a pure white surround and hearth. Choose an all pure white back panel or a reversible black and pure white one, with the Adam Colorado inset electric fire in brushed steel; the all pure white version also comes with the Adam Blenheim electric fire in chrome effect. Both fires give 1 to 2kW and plug into a wall socket.

About this product

Will it suit your space?

As a rough guide, allow 1kW of heat for every 14 cubic metres of room volume in an average room, so 2kW suits a room of around 28 cubic metres (about 3.4 x 3.4 m with a 2.4 m ceiling). Older, draughty or high-ceilinged rooms need more, and a heat-loss check by a heating engineer gives the right answer.

Allow a clear, flat wall at least 1100 mm wide, with a socket nearby for the fire.

Installation and safety

No chimney or recess is needed. Assemble the suite (supplied in 2 boxes), stand it against a flat wall following the instruction manuals and plug the fire into a wall socket. The plug comes from the left-hand side of the fire. Never plug it in behind the surround or the fire: the plug must stay accessible after installation so the fire can be disconnected in an emergency.

Questions

What is the difference between the options?

The pure white option has an all pure white back panel; the pure white and black option has a reversible panel, black on one side and pure white on the other. The Colorado fire is brushed steel and the Blenheim is chrome effect. Both give 1 to 2kW with manual controls, a thermostat and a coal effect fuel bed.

Can I use the flame effect without heat?

Yes. The first setting on either fire is the flame effect only.

Does it need a chimney or recess?

No. The suite fits flat against the wall and the electric fire plugs into a wall socket.

Free delivery to England and Wales. Standard items usually arrive in 3 to 7 working days; large and heavy items in 3 to 10 working days, delivered to the kerbside and often on a pallet. The courier normally contacts you to book a day. Scotland and Northern Ireland charges are shown at checkout.

Returns

You have 30 days from delivery to change your mind, with no restocking fees. Returns after day 14 must be unused, uninstalled and in the original packaging. If we collect, it costs £90 for a single pallet item or £150 for two-person and multi-pallet deliveries; garden buildings, and collections from Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Highlands and islands, are priced before booking and never cost more than £250. Items made to your specification are excluded, and faulty or damaged goods are collected free.
