About this product

Will it suit your space?

Choose 3 burners for a compact outdoor kitchen or smaller patio, 4 for regular family cooking, or 5 for cooking for a crowd. Built-in versions need a non-combustible enclosure 604mm deep, with at least 40mm clear to the rear wall and at least 450mm clearance to combustible materials on all sides. For a trolley version, allow room to stand at the controls and open the hood, keep at least 450mm between every side of the barbecue and anything combustible, and keep it clear of fences and overhanging branches. Check the sizes table below for the dimensions and weight of each option.

Installation and safety

Use outdoors only, in a well-ventilated area, with the correct LPG regulator and hose (BeefEater part 96581 for this series). For built-in versions, follow BeefEater's installation guide for the enclosure. Natural gas conversion must be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

Questions

What size opening do I need to build it in?

For the built-in versions, the cut-out is 604mm deep. Its width depends on the burner count: 680mm for 3 burners, 830mm for 4 and 1,000mm for 5, or 730mm, 880mm and 1,050mm with the BA70HS hanging bracket set. The enclosure must be non-combustible, with at least 40mm clear to the rear wall, and BeefEater asks for at least 450mm clearance to combustible materials on all sides.

Can it run on mains natural gas?

Yes. It is supplied for LPG, and BeefEater conversion kit 95176 converts it to natural gas. The work must be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

What warranty does it come with?

BeefEater Europe's UK and Europe warranty covers the barbecue for 24 months, and the burner box for a further 3 years.

Does it have a side burner?

The trolley versions do. A 4.2kW side burner sits on the right, separate from the main cooking area. The built-in versions do not have one.

What size gas bottle does it take?

An LPG cylinder of at least 6kg. BeefEater's manual says the trolley barbecue is designed for a cylinder of no more than 9kg (up to 315mm across and 460mm high), and that a cylinder of 7kg or more that does not fit inside the trolley must stand on the ground behind the barbecue.

See more built-in gas BBQs and the BeefEater range, or add the BeefEater 1500 and 1600 built-in cover.
