The Shire Barclay is a corner summerhouse that puts an unused garden corner to work, with 12mm shiplap walls, a tongue and groove floor, a mineral felt roof, full height glazed double doors and two full height fixed windows with safety glazing. It comes in 7x7, 8x8 and 10x10 (High Spec), or 8x12 with an attached side shed for storage. Every size is available Without assembly or With assembly.

The Barclay takes from 2,050mm x 2,050mm (7x7) to 3,450mm x 2,250mm (8x12 with side shed) on the ground. Check the sizes table below for the footprint, height and door opening of each size. Check the space with the overhang included, and leave room all round to build it and to treat the timber each year. It needs a firm, flat and level base such as concrete, paving slabs or a timber frame base; grass, soil or loose gravel will move under the weight.

It arrives as a kit with instructions, or choose the With Assembly option and it is put up for you on a base you have prepared.

Questions
What size base do I need?
Make the base at least as big as the building itself and firm, flat and level. The external size of each option is in the sizes table; for the 10x10 it is 3,122mm x 3,122mm including the roof overhang.
Does it need treating?
Yes. It has a dip treated base coat and needs a top coat of paint or stain after assembly.
Can it be assembled for me?
Yes. Choose the With Assembly option and the building is put up on site. The base must be ready, firm and level before the installation day.
Does it come with a floor?
Yes: tongue and groove.
How big is the door?
The door opening is 1,360mm wide on every size and 1,700mm to 1,708mm high; the sizes table gives the figure for each.
