The Adam Southwold is a complete flat-to-wall electric fireplace: an unfinished oak surround with a cream back panel and 43 inch hearth, supplied together with an inset electric fire in brushed steel. The fire gives 1 or 2kW and plugs into a standard socket, so there is no chimney, recess or gas work involved. You choose the fire: the Adam Colorado, with an LED flame effect, or the Adam Helios, with an LED glow effect.

About this product
Will it suit your space?
Allow a clear, flat wall at least 1100 mm wide, with a plug socket nearby. As a rough guide, allow 1kW of heat for every 14 cubic metres of room, so at 2kW either fire suits a room of about 28 cubic metres as its main heat, or a larger room as top-up heat.
The unfinished oak surround can be left natural, or painted or lacquered to suit your room before you fit it.

Installation and safety
No chimney, flue or recess is needed. Assemble the suite and fix it securely to a flat wall following the instructions supplied. Plug the fire straight into a wall socket rather than an extension lead, and keep curtains, furniture and anything flammable clear of the fire as the instructions set out.
Questions
Is the electric fire included?
Yes. The Adam Colorado or Adam Helios inset electric fire, whichever you choose, comes with the surround, back panel and hearth.
Does it need a chimney or recess?
No. The suite fits flat against the wall and the fire plugs into a standard socket.
Can I use the flame or glow effect without heat?
Yes. The LED effect can run on its own without the heater, so you can enjoy the look of the fire in warmer weather.
What size is it?
