Woodfire
This is a boiler stove
Most of its heat goes into your radiators and hot water. It connects to your central heating, so you need a heating engineer as well as a stove installer.

Your selection
The Woodfire EX is a wood burning inset boiler stove that sends most of its heat to water for radiators, hot water or a thermal store, with a smaller share into the room. All three models share the same 634mm wide body, a 200mm top flue outlet and wood-only fuel. Choose the EX10 (10kW), EX15 (15kW) or EX22 (22kW), from a well insulated or low energy home up to the main heat source in a larger home.

What you'll need
A stove on its own isn't enough. Here's what comes in the box, what else you'll need, and what your installer brings.
Added. It goes in your basket with the stove when you press Add to basket.
A liner sized to the stove, fitted up your chimney, after the chimney has been swept and checked.
Fitting, testing and a certificate showing it meets Building Regulations. Keep it for your home insurer and for when you sell.
A boiler stove also needs a heating engineer to connect it to your radiators and hot water, with the safety parts the stove's manual lists.
Ask for one quote that covers the survey, flue, fitting and certificate. Using someone who isn't HETAS registered? Your local building control must approve the work before you use the stove.

About this product
Only a small part of the output reaches the room directly, so these stoves suit rooms that would overheat with an ordinary stove. As a rule of thumb, an average room needs roughly 1kW for every 14 cubic metres, so the direct room heat of 1.5kW to 3.1kW suits roughly 21 to 43 cubic metres depending on model. Older, draughty or high-ceilinged rooms need more, and a heat-loss check by your installer gives the right answer. Every model is 1107mm high, 634mm wide and 545mm deep; check the sizes table below for the output and weight of each. Woodfire asks for 400mm clearance to combustibles at the rear and sides and 1000mm in front.
| Model | Weight | Heat output |

| EX10 | 177kg | 9.9kW nominal (8.5kW to water, 1.4kW to room) |
| EX15 | 179kg | 14.9kW nominal (12.5kW to water, 2.4kW to room) |
| EX22 | 181kg | 21.8kW nominal (18.5kW to water, 3.3kW to room) |

It must be installed by a HETAS-registered installer or signed off by Building Control, and a carbon monoxide alarm is required in the room. A competent heating engineer should design the boiler connection. Woodfire requires a load unit or load valve on the boiler circuit; without one, or without installation by a qualified fitter, the warranty drops from three years to one.
Most of the heat goes into radiators, a cylinder or a thermal store. Woodfire rates the EX10 at about 1.5kW to the room and 8.5kW to water, the EX15 at 2.5kW and 12.5kW, and the EX22 at 3.1kW and 18.5kW.
Yes, a 200mm flue suitable for solid fuel, connected at the top of the stove.
Logs up to 400mm long. Woodfire specifies wood and wood briquettes only.
